At Lurnea Public School we continue to strive for new and innovative ways to keep our school community informed about our school. Some of these strategies include:
Our newsletter.Over the last few years we have improved our newsletter to be a
comprehensive source of information about our school. We include important dates,
news items and even samples of student work. Our newsletters can be found on our
school website
Our website.We are very proud of the resource that we have developed for families – this is the most up-to-date form of communication we have and is a vital link between home and school.
Our school sign.Our sign faces West Street and is changed regularly to reflect the upcoming events at our school.
Facebook page.Early in 2012we developed our official Lurnea Public School Facebook page which has well over 500 page views each week.Our page contains important updates, reminders and links to useful information on our website. Information flyers.Throughout the year you will receive printed brochures outlining the
initiatives and strategies that we implement to improve student outcomes. We are very
proud of the quality of our teaching and learning programs and are striving for continual
improvement.
To continue this whole school improvement and to further acknowledge the importance of home/school communication and partnerships, we encourage you to complete a short survey. All students received a survey in Week 1 which can be completed and returned to the front office. Alternatively, you may request another copy from the office or speak with Mrs Hedger who can assist you in completing the survey.
