We are pleased to announce that Stage 1 students will be attending an excursion to The Australian Botanical Garden, where they will participate in a combined educational workshop program titled ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' which reinforces the learning activities at school as part of our unit on ‘The Need for Shelter'.
The combined workshop program comprising Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and the Need for Shelterlessons run for 90 minutes per session by qualified Garden Education Officers.
Students will be taken by bus to the venue to attend the workshops. Upon arrival the students will be broken into 2 groups and attend 1 of two workshops, have lunch in the grounds of the Botanical Garden and then attend the other workshop after lunch. Following the workshops, we will have the opportunity to further explore the grounds of The Botanical Garden.
Recess, lunch and a water bottle must be packed in a plastic bag and clearly labelled with your child's name.
Students are expected to wear full school uniform including their school hat and black school shoes.
Students need to be ready to leave at 9:00am and are expected to return back at school by 3:00pm.
