Welcome to Lurnea Public School Preschool.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a very warm welcome to both our new and returning families. It has been wonderful to see the children settle quickly into preschool and develop friendships with others in their group. Please remember, if you have any concerns regarding your child's progress, the preschool teachers are always happy to make a time with you to discuss.

Congratulations to Mrs Denten on successfully maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation status with NESA- NSW Education Standards Authority. It is a wonderful achievement and true testimony of your valuable contribution in Early Education.
Collection of children
Just a friendly reminder that our preschool is open 9am-3pm. It is important that all children arrive, and are collected, from the premises by this time. We completely understand unforseen circumstances sometimes arise. If this is the case, please contact our school office or preschool directly to advise.
Fees
Within your Preschool Enrolment Package was a Preschool Classes Fee Schedule 2014 developed by the Department of Education. Please notify our friendly office staff if you are eligible for fee subsidy. An invoice will be generated twice (2) per term for each family. All payments are to be made directly to the office. If you have any queries regarding this process or if you are eligible for a fee reduction, please see our office staff - 9607 7002.
In your child's backpack, please remember to pack:
- A hat
- A spare change of clothes
- A healthy morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
- Drink bottle with water
- A comforter (if needed)
It is a great idea to clearly label all of your child's belongings with their name in permanent marker.
Stay up to Date with information
Parents/carers are encouraged to 'like' our school Facebook page and subscribe to our LPS Skoolbag App. This is available on both Apple and Android devices. Regular reminders, updates and information pertinent to the school will be distributed through digital media. If you need help downloading or accessing either of the abovementioned, please feel free to see either of our preschool teachers.
Parents/carers are also encouraged to view and feed into our preschool program. We acknowledge the important role our parent/carer community play in their child's early education and look forward to forming strong partnerships in learning.
